Chapter 7 ~ July and holding the reins to change ~

We hold our own power to change what is not right

Memories can guide you forwards

A trusty pocketful of inspiration for any time it's needed

Believing in something makes it real

Change is a scary word to many of us. It speaks of uncertainty. Unsettledness. Upheaval. Getting use to the new. And of course not forgetting the good old fear factor of ' what if it all goes wrong ' . . .

Yet, change done slowly with careful planning, preparation and a safely placed launch pad can actually be exhilarating. It can be refreshing, recharging. But most all, life saving.

We owe it to ourselves to make a change when something is no longer serving us. We owe it to ourselves and each other to change for the good of our mental, emotional and physical well being.

Change with you holding the reins is so powerful, because you can steer that change in whichever direction you choose.

Change can be tearful, unexpected and full of adapting. But change adjusts itself as we move and settle into it, until soon it replaces the old and feels just like home again.

My changes for July look a little like this . . .

* Setting up a business of my very own after breaking free from an unhappy work life.

* Creating my little office in my beloved tack room (my ponies old stable!)

* Pushing through the barriers of social fears and doubts to teach children how to ride.

* Speaking up about my vulnerabilities and OCD struggles without feeling I must conceal them and be strong all the time for others around me.

'Try holding the reins to your own life changes'
