~ Autumn ~ the season of change

Each morning as I step outside to venture out on my short car journey, to reach my horses field, the air and autumnal breeze has felt crisper and cooler as September moves us swiftly forwards into the beautiful season that is Autumn.

I always welcome this time of year. Hot drinks held in cold hands, the fresh morning air on my skin, and the ponies coats suddenly becoming fuller and thicker, perfect for snuggling into - not so perfect when it comes to grooming however. Autumn equals mud. Mud equals happy horses and ponies rolling in it!

I always think as autumn is a season of change - it offers us a good chance to check in with ourselves and see how we are doing? Is stress niggling away at us? Is home life positive? Are we feeling confident and self assured? and if not... how can we change that?

It's okay to go in your own direction and not follow where everyone else is going. It's good to prioritize between what we have to do, need to do, and want to do. It's also essential to fill each day with a little something that makes you smile, relax, and feel good and worthwhile.

This is never easy, but it is, I feel, very important all the same.

When summer is over, amongst ourselves we often exclaim...
'where did the time go, it's gone so quickly'

Time does have a natural order of going very fast it seems, so therefore every moment must count and mean something to us all. If we do that, if we make it count - then maybe people will not surrender to the winter blues, or lose their sparkle as the nights draw in - instead they will feel inspired to keep going, keep moving, and keep enjoying their precious time, filling it with what makes them happy and trusting that if it doesn't, they have the power to change it and make it better.
